Who We Are
Holistic care refers to approaches and interventions that address the needs of the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Healing arts are those interventions that foster individual and group healing process and health.
The Holistic Health Organization is a student group, sponsored by the East Carolina University College of Nursing, dedicated to fostering interdisciplinary holistic health promotion among all health-related career programs and combining their collective interest and concerns into one easily accessible student group. The Holistic Health Organization is open to all students (& faculty) in any graduate or undergraduate health career program.
The purpose of the H2O is to teach, nurture, encourage, and inspire students and advance the philosophy and practices of holistic health care; to help create health care professionals who practice holistically. The Holistic Health Organization is a place for students in any health profession at ECU to discuss health care issues and to become involved in community and campus activities that promote positive integrated health care pracitices.
