Future Pirate Nurse Living and Learning Village (FPNLLV)

The Future Pirate Nurse Living and Learning Village is a new housing opportunity for intended nursing majors at ECU. Forty (40) freshmen intended majors will be selected to live together in Umstead Hall for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Students will:

  • Take classes together during the fall and spring semester.*
  • Live in an environment that is conducive to academic achievement.
  • Be exposed to cultures and ideas that will enhance personal development.
  • Grow academically, professionally and personally in their quest to become an ECU Nurse.
  • Prepare for the rigors of the nursing program with preparation for the NLN PAX, time management and test taking skills.**

             (Three courses will be taken as a cohort each semester)
             (** Attendance is required)

Costs:
There are no additional costs associated with the FPNLLV beyond the standard room and board for central campus residence halls.

Roommates:
Intended nursing students may request non-intended nursing students as roommates. If a student wishes to request a non-intended nursing roommate, both students must submit a roommate request that provides the other roommate's name. All roommate requests must be mutual and submitted to Campus Living by May 1 for consideration.
